I have nearly 4000 bullets for reloading in various weights, styles (sp, bt, fb, hp, partition, etc.), calibers (.243cal/6mm, .25cal/.257 and .270cal/.277) and manufacturers from my late brother that I want to sell for his widow. Most of it is pretty shiny but some is slightly tarnished and or the lead soft points have oxidized and have whitened up a little. The lead still seems firm and isn't brittle. I took a bullet each from the worse looking batches and gave the lead tips a quick twist with some 0000-steel wool and they all seem to clean up well revealing a nice bright lead under the oxidized coating. With all that being said, are these safe to load and shoot, and do you all think the tarnish would affect accuracy? I don't reload personally, and I had mixed answers (mainly positive) from friends who do. I know I have shot crustier looking ammo than these and don't believe it suffered any accuracy issues, but I still would like to hear from those more experienced with reloading. Please take a look at the pictures and tell me what you think.

They’re fine! Someone could always lightly tumble them to shine them up but it’s not necessary. They’re GTG.
