need advice: used wrong primers

New-ish reloader here and I'm looking for some advice.
I started prepping 50 cases of 9mm. I realized that I had used small RIFLE primers instead of small pistol.
Is it safe to continue loading these?
I load on the low pressure side. I'm only punching holes through paper - not looking to blow anyone's lungs out.
If it matters, these were destined to be:
115gr FMJ-RN
5.3grns Ramshot Silhouette powder

No [problem if you have enough firing pin impact/ Srp have harder cups. I have some cci srp that say on the box small rifle or magnum small pistol.

I wouldn't shoot them. Cut your losses and move on, learning from your mistake. The price of failure is too high.

It makes no difference. They’re fine. Watch the video in Post #4. It’s based on actual data instead of internet FUD.

The bigger concern is how the wrong primers came to be used in the first place. Using the wrong powder could be catastrophic.

ETA: To finish my thought, why encourage OP to develop bad habits early on?

Apples and oranges. Powder is a concern I know a couple dummies that used pistol powder for ar loads. Both blew ars up at same time shooting in a match.
Small rifle primers can be substituted for small pistol magnum loads. That is good reason that personal handloaded ammo may not be sold. Must have license.

i only use small rifle primers in 9mm its just so i dont run out of small rifle when i need to make 223 or 30 carbine

As for how this happened, not paying enough attention. I keep my small rifle and small pistol primers in separate ammo boxes. At some point, I placed a pack of the rifle primers into the box where I keep pistol primers. When reloading, I reached into the case and didn't read the box.
Lesson learned - I'll verify the primers every time and be more careful when clearing my bench.

They are GTG. You can find vids on these from Vel Ammo and Brownells if you need reassurance. As stated above, these cups are thicker than either SPP or SMPP so if you have a competition trigger you may have some FTF issues.

Don't sweat it, we all make mistakes. Since you are just starting out now is the time to develop safe habits. For instance:

Decide what you are going to load in each session then only collect components for that caliber.

Don't have more than one type of powder or primers on your bench at any one time. The reason is obvious.

Try to minimize distractions like family and friends.

Stay organized, take notes, label everything.
