Blown case

I had my first blown case the other day. 123gn JHP, 4.2gn Alliant sport pistol powder, 1.115 OAL 9mm. This is the 3rd time case was loaded, I visually inspected all cases before priming and loading. I ran my fingernail over any questionable spots and discarded any case that had cracks. Lucky for me this did no damage to the gun and wasn't a squib round. Any suggestions on why this happened or better inspections I could do to the cases. Thank you in advance.

Glock strikes again!

Either that brass was fired in a Glock with an unsupported chamber before you got it, or you have a Glock with an unsupported chamber, and the 3rd time was a charm.

I sort cases by weight, I sort bullets by weight, I sort primers by weight, when finished all I have to do is weigh the round for total weight, if the weight is off it has to be the powder.

Look at the picture, I have never had a case blow out the side of the case due to case head protrusion or due to the lack of case head support.

I could weight the case with the primer installed and then match the weight of cases with primers. Many reloaders do not have enough cases to sort by weight. reloaders that do not sort by weight have no way to check their loaded pistol ammo when determining if they have loaded to much powder if they do not know what the case weighs and what the bullet weighs. And then there are those that jump the curb when it comes those little primers, that stuff does not lock me up.

I have a Sig Sauer SP2022 the chamber is supported, I pick up all the brass we shoot, there are some glock brass I have pick up along the way. Must be that.

Look at the picture, I have never had a case blow out the side of the case due to case head protrusion or due to the lack of case head support.

I have a Sig Sauer

I came close to owning a Sig but it was not to be. We had a shooting in the neighborhood, a Policeman was shot. They chased the burglar and caught him, but he was without a pistol. The Police department called all residents in the neighborhood seeking permission to search our yards, having nothing to hide we agreed; that was before we discovered we had 3 nests of Hornets in the back yard.

Time past and then one day we decided to donate a car, we found the pistol under the donated car, the police department was not happy with the wrecker driver, he picked up the pistol and handed it to me.

Well, let me ask you what caused this? .45 acp out of a G36. I know the answer but I want to give you a chance to comment.



BTW, thousands of rounds through our G19 gen3 over 15+ years and not one of the cases has shown ANY tendency to blow out or even bulge in the slightest.

And your "thousands of rounds" in a g3/G19 is an empty claim without specific info on the process history of those "thousands of fired rounds".

The blown case above was due to a double charge of W231. Blew the gun up.

You don't know anything about my shooting history or capabilities, so go shove it!
