    Hey Guffy!

    Guffy,

I know you make a lot of your own jigs and measuring tools. That's very cool. Would you be willing to show pictures or drawings of some of your creations? What you do is a lost art.

I have respect for what he feels and what he does. I think we can be friends.

Very similar to a "guppy", but with puffier tail.

This reminds me of rapping on the fence with a bored guard dog on the other side.

There was a socially dysfunctional forum called 'The reloaders nest', a shooter, reloader joined for the sole purpose of casting chambers. He did not have a chance to get started before members started insulting him. I apologized on the behalf of the of the forum for their bad behavior, I believe the new member had more to offer and I thought the forum would have been better off with him than without him.

Anyhow, I offered to work with him on matters of casting a chamber but from the beginning casting chamber information has not advanced beyond reloaders repeating/quoting other reloaders and it has been that way since 'the big inning'.

I sent him the required contact information, we started. He was a fast learner meaning he was excellent listener. I told him he could do a search on chamber casting from all forums and find no difference between the first search and his last search.

When we finished, he was casting chambers that allowed him to determine the length of the chamber from the datum to the bolt face from his castings. He did not believe that was possible when he started.

He asked me why the members of the Reloaders Nest were so rude, I told him they are afraid they will lose their status as being a 'go-to person' for information. I worked with him on understanding chamber and the effect the chamber has on cases when fired. When finished I explained to him there are only two reloaders that can determine head space from a chamber casting.

He said he read everything a reloaders named Salazar wrote, he insisted I must know of him, I didn't but made an effort, I got the feeling I found another Salizar because the one that I found was, in my opinion was rather rude.

He wanted to know about the sequence of events between pulling the trigger and the bullet leaving the beginning of the rifling. I told him everyone quoted Bart B. on that one. I told him I have rifles with chambers that defy all of Bart B's rules.
