    Life is short

I may do internet for some green dot and some primers I need. Would never have considered that three years ago.

It is hugely frustrating to lack a single component needed to make a complete round. That said, I have learned the value of patience. In any event my left-over parts will go to my friends.

Brownells has primers. Powder Valley has had a LOT of powder as of late. It's just all a lot more expensive than it used to be.

My parents grew up during the Great Depression and all that stuff they faced was hammered into me day and night. Still, I may go for it.

I might have a container of Hercules Green Dot but I think another member had some fore sale on the market. What kind of primers do you need?

With availability the way it is, flexibility is key.

For anything except precision rifle loads, use whatever primers you can get. Most primer swaps won't make a huge difference.

For powder, take a look at burn rate charts and come up with a few Plan B powders in the same range. You will likely need to work up loads again for accuracy, but that shouldn't take all that long.

Saves getting all worked up when you can't get that one component you need ("need", which is pronounced "want".)

Better be carefully with that. Op is talking about shotshell reloading not Metallic and you had better do some research before substituting anything on your recipe when it comes to shotshell reloading.

Seriously guys, you are great. I've learned so much from this site. What I still need to learn scares me though. I wish I could clone Guffy. He's gruffy, but OK in my book.
