First timer wanting to reload 30 30 winchester

Hello I'd like to reload ammo for my old man's MARLIN LEVER rifle, now that's he passed I'd like to squeeze off a few to remember the old times.
It's hard to find box ammo so if I did invest in a single stage set up
My resorch for components so far is
Large rifle primers like CCI 200
Brass from gun show and ammo I ratholed
IMR 4350 smokeless powder
30 30 slugs look to be hard to find but one site did have for 54$ /500 pcs plus 22$ shipping

Found some great utoob videos for 30 30 reloading.
New used reloading gear, dies ,etc is treasure hunting I have the patience for.
Any particular parts of reloading setup I want to buy new vs used?

30-30 Winchester is easy and fun to reload.

IMR4350 is a little slow of a powder for the cartridge. WW748 is my preferred powder. It works great with jacketed bullets from 125 through 170 grains yielding factory ballistics and accuracy. Other great powders include IMR3031 & BLC2.

Get a few reloading manuals and don’t exceed the maximum listed loads.

I've seen used dies and some tools in reloading section for good price . But I would get a book used or new and start reading . For your purpose , can't go wrong with lee anniversary kit . Nothing fancy , but it comes with just about everything you need . You'll need some good caliper tho

110 grain .30 carbine bullets work really well for 30-30, are easy to find, are inexpensive, and are accurate.

Not sure if IMR 4350 is an adequate powder for 30-30. Looking at my data I can't find any that use 4350. Leverlution, Accurate 2015, Winchester 748, and H335 would be more suitable.

Also the 110 grain m1 carbine bullets work in a 30-30. Now the projectiles you found are they lead or jacketed? Grafs seems to have some cheap Berry's at $0.17 a bullet for a 150 grain. https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog...roductId/23322

How many reloading manuals do you have?
Start there.

You want new bullets, powder, primers and case tumbler media.
Everything else can be used.

30 carbine bullets are roundnose.
They are not flat like a typical 30-30 cartridge uses.

Tube magazine firearms should use flat point bullets because the point of the bullet rests against the primer of the cartridges in the magazine and recoil causes the magazine stack to jump forward and backwards with every shot fired.

This should be well covered in reloading manuals if you read the "how to reload" sections.
