Berdan primed? Toss or sell for scrap.

I toss them into my scrap brass bucket
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I would make a few dummy rounds unless you don’t reload that caliber.

Age wouldn't matter for the brass, it's condition. Unless you can get Berdan primers, Berdan priming tool, toss or sell as scrap. Berdan Primers are a PITA and only for the most stubborn.

Got it, thanks. I'll leave them at the club tomorrow. Someone will recycle them.

Get rid of em. If one gets in your boxer stuff you are looking at breaking a pin.

Unless you're looking at a cartridge for which brass really is very rare, it's just not worth it. You're right to toss it in the metal scrap bin for recycling.

There’s plenty out there on how to use berdan brass but take your own chances with it.

You can drill out the center of the primer to accept a small rifle primer, remove the berdan, drill a center flash hole and put in a copper spacer to seat a large rifle primer.

That's true, you can. But since I have plenty of Boxer brass, thanks to Prvi Partizan, I don't see that it's worth the time and effort for 7.62x54R. It's pretty readily available.

With all the mosins and new boxer primed ammo around.. the brass is left behind at the range most times I go.
