If you don't want them, I'll take them. PM me and we can work out the details. I have two 30-30 rifles that I reload for.

Dad used to reload brass three times older then that. No problem.

No signs of corrosion then all is well even if 100 years old.

I hope so. I am loading and shooting brass from the 1960's without problems. Also ammo from the 1930's

I STILL reload brass 4 times older than that.

So go ahead and feel safe gifting it to some lucky recipient.

And "GOOD ON YA" for doing so.

Thanks for all the wisdom. I have some 38 special about the same age and only getting 2 reloads before they rupture. Wasn't sure about 30-30. Glad someone can use them.

Your brass is fine. I'm still reloading brass that's more than twice as old as that. You can tell when brass is ready to retire because the primer pockets aren't tight and the case necks start to split. Your 30-30 brass looks practically brand new.

It's not the age, it's the mileage.

Brass doesn't decompose with age unless it's been stored in a corrosive environment. Same with any metal. As romeo said, it's the mileage.

20 years old? I think all my brass is at least that old, if not older.

Still good to go. Inspect for corrosion, cracks, wear. Otherwise, should be 100% usable.
