    Dillon dies suck !!

    Dillon dies suck !!

I'm new to reloading, but finally got my 750 set up. I waited six months for my 9mm dies to finally show up.

Well, now that everything's up and running I cranked out my first 500 rounds.

I chamber checked every single one of them, and they all passed.

But when I used my Dillon case gauge, they all failed. Every single one.

    Dillon dies suck.

I substituted the LEE factory crimp die for the Dillon in 9mm because it’s a tapered case. 10k rounds or so with no probs. It’s the bulge at the bottom of many 9mm cases that needs to be ironed out . The dillon crimp die for 9mm sucks. You can pass all those bullets through the LFC die and they should be fine. I also use the Redding Competition seating die for more accurate seating when changing between coated lead, FMJ and JHP. In .223 no probs with the Dillons so far. Got LEE’s for .40. Not crazy about the size / deprimer but for the little amount of .40 I load it’s fine .

Try sizing in a single stage with the same die. Size 10 cases and try the empty case in the gauge.

                  Maybe post #16 will help:

I've been recently reading about Glock case bulge. I will start to reload 10mm for my Glock 40. In the past, I've been using my revolver's cylinder (45 Colt) or the Glock 17 barrel. To satisfy the "plunk test", should I get a case gauge for every caliber I reload and use that or is the barrel...

Try using the gage from the other end.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

Hey, maybe it's that damn cheap green brass I keep getting?

I think you need the blue Dillon hammer to properly test fit that brass in the die. You bought the blue Dillon hammer right?
