Dunno. All I know is that I need 10 hours of volunteer time as part of my club dues, and sorting a bucket takes me about 2 hours to do it correctly. I don't put a dollar value on volunteer time.
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

I used to (operative phrase there) laugh at people that use them, but the rubber suction cup litter grabbers are very handy for picking up brass without having to bend over. About $20 for a 2-pack from Amazon (they are cheaply made, but they work...)

Isn’t there a wire roller on a broom handle that one just rolls right over brass cases and picks them up or was I just dreaming? It would sure help if it actually works.

I use two back savers that are worth having.

We use upright dustpans and the short brooms that come with them. We have them spaced out about every 3 benches or so. We also put releasing magnets about every 4 benches so they can pick up steel casings and regular push brooms at every other station. Each bench has a bucket for brass. RSO's will sweep but we strongly encourage the shooters to keep their area clean for safety reasons. I'm not beyond some polite shaming to get them to pick-up after themselves.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

I usually police my own brass after about a couple of mags. I know, it isn't much, but it provides a nice break in between shooting. My 1911 throws the brass FAR! Maybe 4 lanes over and that's before it rolls around!

If anyone comes across any small pistol primer 45 ACP, please just throw it away or send it directly to the smelter. SPP 45 ACP is the devil!

Yeah I hate that stuff with a passion. I thought I would collect enough to reload but only get enough to piss me off when I am priming cases It goes right in the trash now.

Same here. I'm at the point that I won't bother with anything that I haven't already reloaded (marked w/sharpie).

                          yeah.

Relative to the volume of .223 and 9mm, five or six 30-30 cases laying about is now an oddity. But then again - those crusty old farts take their brass home, so who knows.

                            Black's Creek.

Thanks for the heads-up on the lead dust - hadn't thought of that.

The 30-30 people probably still have 4 rounds left out of the box of 20 they bought 5 years ago. They also probably have 5 deer killed
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I've been hunting the same box of twenty 30-06 for the last five years. 2 pigs, 3 pronghorn, 5 deer, and one armadillo(). Still have 8 rounds left.
