Sierra Bullets on extra per 100

i bought 4boxes of 100 each and now have 4 extra bullets has any one had the same thing to any one else just wondering

Speer does it once in a while, as well as Nosler.

Hornady must have somone who actually counts the bullets, I never get extras from them.

Pretty regular occurrence with Sierra, I guess they want to make sure you've got enough (in case you drop one through a crack in the floor). Lapua doesn't do that.

funny how I now feel lucky that i received an extra few bullets in a box of 500 that cost me almost $140...

I have gotten different bullets in my bulk packs. I ordered 1000 .308 fmj bullets and there were 3 SP's in the box.

I worked for Sierra until they moved to MO in 1990. They deliberately put 101 bullets in each box back then, and even touted it in their advertisements.

Sometimes one of the bigshots would come out with some complaint letters written by people that were furious about getting a box with only 100 bullets in it. They'd wave them in front of all the ladies on the bullet packaging line and tell them to be more careful.
