    New FedEx hazmat rule

Gonna need to scan that id now eh, hmmm.

FedEx provides a range of signature options to meet your needs and keep your shipments protected.

Where does it say anything about this being related to Haz-Mats? It says it will be required for deliveries requiring an adult signature.

I imagine this is more a result of driver's signing for customers when they are not home as a convenience to the customer. Going to be a PITA if they only release packages to someone that has an ID readily available to be scanned.

        From Natchez

Effective 06/28/2022 FedEx will require a valid governmentment-issued photo ID for Hazmat deliveries. Please click for more information.

Usually they just toss it out of the door as they drive by, even for signature required deliveries.

Give them your Utah CCW card.

Insurance jewelry was left at my door. Drivers always forge signature.
Drivers don't want to make 2-3 additional attempts.

I'm guessing ID is to reduce theft for signature required / insured items
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
              (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

Everyone just make the driver wait while you take time to get your ID, and watch the blowblack, Fedex mgmt will cave.

It's gonna be like BevMo alcohol deliveries. Adult Signature Required packages will require a scan of .gov issued ID.

                  No discretion.

In the past couple of years, I've wasted about 2 weeks of vacation time to be home in order to sign for scheduled deliveries that were, on the day of delivery, delayed by one or two days. Out of a half dozen deliveries, I think I signed once. Drivers signed for me a couple of times, and the rest were left on the doorstep (without even a doorbell rung.)

I'm not sure if that will happen anymore, unless the driver knows some trick about scanning an ID.

OMG, can you really order alcohol in the mail now?

I have absolutely zero reasons to leave the house anymore!

See GoPuff for home delivery stuff. Damn glad they invented it while I was recuperating.

Rather than buying one liquor license at a time, they bought BevMo.
