Does anyone have experience making minishells from regular hulls? What about reusing minishells? If you exist, please share what you have learned.

I have not made them but my buddy used to cut down the shells that would not hold good crimps anymore into 2.25" minishells and run them a couple more times.
Some guys went so far as to loading around 2" shells in an attempt to increase capacity for 3gun competition while still keeping a semi-auto to function.
The lighter/shorter 1.75" ones did not feed as reliably and often were too wimpy to cycle a benelli.
Hence the 2" medium-shells.Randall Rausch
