    red ring and ammo

So I wasn't sure if I should have posted this in the handgun or centerfire section since its ammo for both firearms, I figured I couldnt go wrong here.

I recently recieved a M44 in a trade with another Calgun member and he gave me some 7.62x54 ammo and I was just curious if anyone can tell me the brand. Also on a side note I have seen this on other ammo, but the ammo has what looks like a red sharpy marking around the bullet on the top of the caseing** just curious what the purpose of the red was?

10 (on top) 80 on bottom**

And can anyone tell me what HP +P 9mm round this is***? I also recieved some of these in a trade a while back ago and was old that they are some of the old school Black Talons, but I recently was told otherwise. I figured I would see what info yo guys could tell me. Thanks.

The 7.62x54R was made for the military in Bulgaria in 1980.

#1 The red laquer is a sealant, US Milspec ammo uses bitumen in the case neck instead

#2A black Talon for sure, but the ones I have came with nickled cases.
