    Large Pistol Mag for 308

    Can I load 308 with large mag pistol im out of large rifle. Will it work or will i blow up my gun

      Was wondering the same thing. I almost purchased some LRMag Match primers thinking it would work but it is a shorter cup so might have issues with the firing pin, but modern rifles I would think would not have an issue. Ended up scraping the idea and waiting for LR to come back in stock somewhere.

          Your gun won't blow up. A pistol primer is generally softer for the lighter pistol strike. At most you may breech the primer which could blow crud in your face. Wear safety glasses for the first few - and take video.

            You missed the golden rule of tough times buy what/when you can and barter it later for what you want/need.

              I use cci 300 for 32 Winchester special but I'm running in the 30,000 cup range with pistol powder.

                        Large pistol primers are used in the 458 SOCOM but it is a low-pressure cartridge.
                        I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...
