I don't know what "A9" means either. Where is that marking located.

I also load on a "RCII". Mine was made in 1988. And has the BALL handle.
My previous "A3" Rock Chucker was made in 1967. And had the "7/8-14" bushing. Unlike the earlier A2s.

Your year of manufacture is marked on top, at rear of bushing, if curious.

You're just getting started. I would not suggest converting to bushing system. It takes about 15 seconds to screw a die into the press. With a bushing, you save about 10 seconds. But the bushings cost $5 each, give or take.

I've been "stuff'n my own" for over 50 yrs. And have some where over 2 dozen sets of dies. Since they first started making quick change die bushings. IMO it is just a money maker for the manufacturers. They sell you a press and dies. Then you have to buy their proprietary "bushings" before you can use your dies and press.

My RCBS II is a great press. Look for videos that show you how to do a full take down of the parts. Clean lightly remove rust, and re-oil. That baby will work like new. Congratulations.
