yup, and i can't see why it wouldn't be legal... not armor-piercing, incendiary, explosive, poisonous, or ill-tempered. its very existence is for safer shooting.

It used to penetrate soft body armor in the beginning. I have spoken to the manufacturers at the SHOT show a few years ago and they said they don't sell it to general public. I believe they improved it and I guess they are okay. I haven't tested a new ones.

What about the .30 cal mil surplus stuff? I figured it would just be safer to shoot than ball. I've got 6000 rounds that I'm planning on loading into .308 rounds if I can develop a load that will cycle my 1919.

I think I saw .50 cal frangibles at midway...I vote for them too.If you live in the city and have a med.- large caliber home defense piece.....and just in case you have to protect yourself....the neighbors will be glad you used them in the event you miss the bad guy....or bad guys in a common wall living situation at worst.....or close track house, etc. as a norm. The self destructive quality just may save a life.
