    Your experience with Redding presses?

I like my Dillons hardware, but I was recently introduced to Redding and it seems they have much higher quality (precision-wise) dies than Dillons. I am surprised they don't get mentioned as much as Lee, RCBS, or Dillons Precision because it seems like they have the nicest quality dies and tools. Their progressive "turret" press is an interesting concept that rotates the dies instead of a shell plate like Dillons does. Does anyone have experience with the Redding turret press, how does it stack up against Dillons?

I'm considering purchasing the single stage "Boss" press from Redding for precision rifle loads. I know Hornady and Lee make single stages as well, how does Redding stack up?

Have you considered the FORSTER CO-AX B5 SINGLE STAGE PRESS? I know it isn’t on your list, but if you are looking at single stage presses this is just another option.

I've used quite a bit of Redding product and have been very satisfied with their product.

On the grand quality scale, I place them just a notch above RCBS, Hornady, Lyman and Forster.

For a long time Dillon sold Redding dies for calibers they did not manufacture for.

Their Turret Press has been very well regarded, but no turret press is a viable substitute for a Progressive Press. Most folks will use Turret Press to complete one operation on a block of casings, then advance the die and move on to the next operation.

My only criticism of Redding is that they do make any dies for large rifle calibers. You'll have to go with RCBS, Hornady or C4HD if you want large rifle dies.

You would be very happy with the Redding presses for mainstream loading. But if you really want to produce precision loads then I'd look at the Prazi Presses and Lenzi Presses for single stage and and the Area 419 Turret Press for multi-station. If you really want precision loads, use these presses for your case prep and then do the actual loading using an arbor press and hand dies. L.E. Wilson is by far the best source. They offer some case prep supplies for large rifle, but do not offer any dies for large rifle.

It is not about equipment. It is about the individual.

How does the OP chose to spend his time? Does the OP have the space for setting up a Reloading work area?
How much does the OP think or expect the initial costs and supply components will be?

Let's discover the OP's expectations. If the OP is willing to settle for average then there are plenty of average
        reloading contraptions to buy.

I use a Dillon 650 to reload pistol rounds and high volume rifle rounds. For my precision rifles, I reload their ammo on a Redding Ultramag Press. I have owned both presses for over 25 years and they show no signs of wear, and I would not sell, trade, or upgrade either of my presses.

I've used the Big BOSS 2 a lot and it makes excellent ammo.

Recently picked up a CoAX and I like the easy of die changes and shell holders compared to the Redding, but it's $400 vs $225

Only Redding press I have a T-7. Very convenient on calibers I prefer to single stage. Arguably the best turret press that's < King's ransom.

              Though I don't prime via Redding's contraption.

Is Prazi German and Lenzi Italian? I couldn't find much info online.

I've switched to a T7 and Big Boss 2 over from RCBS. I switched to the hornady quick change hardware on the big boss 2 and that my dedicated press for depriming and other one-off stuff then the T7 is for everything else then my high volume pistol stuff is on a dillon 750.

As far as the T7 goes, Sierra Bullets has one that they use for load work-up that has a verified million+ loads on it. It was sent back to Redding where it given a check-up and all was found to still be within spec..

They are. Prazi has their own website and they sell direct.

Lenzi has two distributors in the U.S. PMA and Bruno's.

I was going to buy a Prazi Reloading Press myself until I discovered that installing U.S. made Reloading
Dies in a German made Prazi Press was breaking several International Trade Laws.
