Sierra MK vs Lapua Scenar 155gr.

Can the 155gr. Lapua scenar bullets be seated deeper in the case as apposed to the 155gr. Sierra MK with the ogive distance to the lands being the same in both bullets?

So what you are saying if I understand you correctly is the 155gr. Lapua scenars seat deeper in the case than the Sierra 155gr. MK bullets both being the same distance from the lands.

Yeah I'm using 155gr. SMK's in a M1A supermatch and when I use an OAL gage the bullet is barely making contact with the comparator case. When I seat them to max mag. length I only have .10 of seating contact. I can't loosen them with my fingers and I've never had any come loose in rapid fire but I would like a bit more contact. I'm about .090 from the lands with the SMK's. I get good accuracy that far back and comparable scores to my AR during matches. I really appreciate your information crowbar. I will be considering the Lapua 155gr. Thank you.
