    Did I score??? Ammo Find

To make a long story short. A coworker hits me up recently asking if I would like to buy some ammo for guns that his uncle (R.I.P) once owned. Me being always on the hunt for ammo, I happily obliged.

Aside from the white bricks of 7.62 ammo (I passed on those), my eyes lit up when I saw that he had some .223. I have never in my life heard of or do not know what a Nosler Ballistic tip is other than the fact that the rounds look cool and that the tips are plastic. The Rangers I do like. Quality on those look superb. In the end I got all these boxes of ammo with a few spent brass on the side as well as the free ammo can.

How much I paid you ask. The deal was for $100 flat.

Someone please tell me these are quality rounds cause all I ever shot out of my AR's are Steel cased Wolf which I have no problem with and Black hills.

I 'd buy it. I like the power points and the NBT's are fine varmint bullets. Are you sure you didn't buy those in Yuba City

Just like the way I bought my last machine gun!

You did good. If you're not in the Condor area you can do some serious damage to varmints with those Nosler BTs.

If he's still got the 7.62, what's his price?

That's some premium ammo there. Yes, you scored.

Ill ask once I get back Monday. I dont have anything chambered in 7.62 yet so I didnt even bother. To be honest I should have just bought everything just for the heck of it then sell off what I do not need to my fellow calgunners. lol. I have never in my life seen so much ammo at various calibers and types all in one little confined space of someones trunk. I even saw some old Black Talons that I passed on as well since I do not own anything in 9mm or any handguns for that matter . Now those were some odd looking rounds.

Again, my only concern was .223. Thanks for the positive feedback guys. Much appreciated. I will put these in my SHTF stash.

                  Score in my book.

Before shooting those round, be sure to clean the chamber real good on your gun because wolf ammo doesn't expand too much when fired and a bunch of gunk builds up in the chamber. When you fire some brass ammo in it, the brass will expand and will often get stuck on the built up gunk.

I'd say... go back... buy up whats left... sell them... and donate the profits to Calguns Foundation! Waddaya think?

BTW: You did score... big time.

Very nice find and you definitely scored a great deal. I'd keep that Ranger stashed away for a rainy day and shoot the rest.
