    Smaller Flash Holes

I've recently bought a batch of 5.56 / .223 brass that has smaller than standard flash holes. They have broken many of my decaping pins and I have had to be extra careful whenever I feel any amount of resistance when resizing (reloading on a Dillon 650). Is there a decapping die out there that can resolve this issue.

I am currently using an RCBS universal decapping die solely to decap the brass since the pins are easily replaceable. I then resize with a Dillon .223 die. I then run these brass though a flash hole uniformer to avoid the issue in subsequent reloads.

    Thanks for any advice.

Yes, the Mighty Armory decapping die uses large and small pins. https://www.mightyarmory.com/collect...or-lapua-brass

This one comes with the small pin

You can buy extra large and small pins when you buy the die. They are easily changed out.

Broke many pins, you mean they broke one and you stopped messing with those right?

Sinclair international sells the extra thin pins used for benchrest guns.
Regular small pins will get stuck.

          This guy is no quitter.

Up to his knees in broken pins but no quitter.

            Just buy .057 decap pins.

Those cases are usually very easy to identify by the pinkish primer sealant. I cull them and have been storing them until I have enough to make it worthwhile to process them.
