    My new press...

While I was happy with my Forster Co-Ax press I still had to keep changing dies. Originally I had thought of using a Dillon 550, but like a single stage, however for some of the cartridges I load (e.g. .500 NE) it just wasn't practical.

I had heard about the Zero Turret Press a few years ago. I wanted to wait until the product matured and there was some feedback on it. (YouTube is full of positive reviews).

It was a Christmas present to myself, and it arrived recently. I had also bought a stand for it, the stand also has built in slots for additional turrets in the back as well as slits for an Akro bin on either side.

I installed it over the weekend. This thing is a tank and I am looking forward to many reloading sessions with it. The Forster will go on sale soon along with its inline fabrication stand.

At that price how many HK's do you have on hand? lol.

It looks like a beast but I'm weirded out that they only built it for .338 as a max.

"Internally contained primer-catch system, eliminating baby food jars and surgical hoses hanging from your press" - What, people don't just let the primers fill the floor? Bet their target demographic has sewage systems don't they.

Supports standard case holders, pretty good. Maybe. I think I need a 1050 first.

Looks expensive. Area 419 stuff isn't in the bargain bin.

            ....
Well, it does load .500 NE which is 1.5mm longer OAL and 7mm longer case. It most likely won't do .50 BMG, then again very few presses do. The other longer caliber I have is 9.3x74R and that is a few millimeters shorter than the .500 NE. The available ram stroke is 4.4" and the OAL of my longest caliber is 3.75" so plenty of room there. I guess they were thinking of competition ammo when saying .338LM is the max.

              Nope, it's not:

              $1275 for the press.

$25 for a die lock ring.

              $65 for a dust cover.

$225 for an additional turret head.

These are retail prices off Area 419's site. Kind of doubt you'd get a discount elsewhere (assuming they're available elsewhere.)

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

It is the best press I have ever had for rifle rounds. Even the packaging was great. I have reached out to the company that did the packaging to make custom foam for my rifles and my Pelican case in various configurations.

Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

Compared to what I’ve spent on powder and primers over the last couple months, that press doesn’t seem so expensive anymore.

That thing is so sweet. I'd buy one if I wasnt gravitating to moving my match ammo making to the progressive.
