Pistol bullet puller....which one to get?

Hi, i have a Hornady Bullet puller that works on collets and a lever arm and it works very nicely for rifle bullets but had trouble grabbing hold of deeply inset pistol caliber projectiles.

Wondering which bullet puller you prefer. Appreciate your help.

unless you're pulling a bunch, the cheapo plastic hammer from Franklin Armory has worked well for me. I hit it on a mat on concrete. Couple of whacks and the bullet is out.

I use one of the hammer types too. I hit it on wood, the last one broke from hitting it on concrete.

I have both, for the same reasons you mentioned.

Collet for rifle, and bottleneck pistol.

Whack A Mole for those stubby pistol rounds.

            thank you everyone.....
is any particular preferred brand of kinetic puller...or are they all the same?

I looked up the Frankford Arsenal and it seems to have the lowest price on Brownells. I just placed it in my cart pending your experience.

I got an RCBS. Off the shelf at LGS long before there was an internet to order from.

Brownell's, Bass Pro, Midway, Mid-South and all others of the time were from paper catalogs and snail mail.

RCBS bullet puller. It has the most durable/sturdy collets.

If you pull your own bullets, the GRIP-N-PULL is the #1 piece of reloading equipment you need. The patented GRIP-N-PULL makes collets and inertia pullers history! Tired of impact pullers? Gripnpull is cleaner, faster, quieter, and easier.

Nuthin' has worked for removing .38 wadcutters from the hundreds of rounds of questionable heritage I acquired.

The simple RCBS one has always worked for me. I have a special rock in the back yard I use to hit it on. Rock is harder than concrete.

Same here. So far mine has been thru several hundred whacks not just to correct for mistakes but also to pre check my crimp before I load big batches.
