If you advertise to the black powder guys, you’ll have better luck.
If you pay it forward to some of those bp guys you might even have better luck.

Check EBay for going prices. they have everything from pure lead to linotype alloy. You certainly can find what it is going for there.

Rotometals sells it for $1.59+ a pound.

Selling lead is a big heavy pain in the ***. I'd be happy to get $100 if someone picked it up to avoid shipping.

Thanks folks, location is San Diego. I didn’t mean for this to be a for sale post, which is why I didn’t have the location listed!

smelt into C-channel cut into SFRB lenghts and you can pack SFRB's solid with bars. Ships well and is cheap for you as the seller.

Then you sell by the box. Most casters will take pure a couple boxes at a time cause it's just for round balls and minnie etc. For metallic reloading range lead is the cheaper option.

Should sell right quick that way.

Or sell it by the chunk of craigslist. You won't get as high a price but it'll be turned around quicker.

I'd take it off your hands but I'm in silicon valley.

I'm in San Diego, and would be glad to pay a reasonable price. I sent a pm, but got no response.
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

Just responded to all PM’s! Sorry folks, have been busy.

This is indeed pure lead — as read on the Thermo XRF gun, it is:

                        98.22% lead
                        0.79% iron
                        0.18% niobium

                        See attached.

This may not matter to most casting applications using this lead, but there is one caster over at the Cast Boolits forum who uses the HiTek polymer coating and had non adherence problems that he feels are caused by niobium in his alloy. He finally got the coating to stick by acid washing the casts, which apparently leached the niobium off the bullet surface.
