Tumbling Media: Anyone use blasting plastic?

I'm trying to just find info and experiment with media.

I see some here have used ceramic media, which is very aggressive, but need water and detergent and the side lying rotary tumbler.

But just curious about plastic media. It's lighter, so can be used in a vibratory tumbler, and lasts forever.

I figure and one time investment and it can be cleaned and recharged with red rouge or Nu finish, etc.

    Any experiences with plastic media?

That sounds like the stuff a friend of mine mentioned the other day. What he described is small enough that it cleans the primer pocket as well, which sounds pretty cool to me. If memory serves the media was for rock tumbling/polishing.

If you are looking for cheap walnut media, check your local feed store. I just split a 50lb bag with a friend - total cost $21.00 (10 bucks each). 25lbs should last me a while.
