Magnetospeed on a No 4 Enfield?

I was reading some discussions. Seems like mounting on the top might get me closer. I'll try and see but wanted to see if anyone has used it without removing the wood. Maybe at the higher sensitivity? I mounted it on top and it's 9/16" away from the bullet trajectory. I bet that's enough especially with the more sensitive setting. Chime in if you're done it. I have a scope on it so can still somewhat aim. I can even take off the rubber thing and get it to 7/16" I bet. Maybe even mounting on the bottom is fine if the higher sensitivity is ok for 3/4" ish.

Edit: Just read a discussion with someone saying it was said at 1.25" away from bullet that it becomes unreadable/unreliable and it's based on bullet size.

Yes, clamping on top may be a way to go for the Enfield. Not sure your can clear the front sight.

Another strategy is use what barrel is exposed in front of the sight.

You want the bullet to basically skim the bayonet by a millimeter or two. I use a cleaning rod to set the bayonet.

Mine used to be sporterized so they chopped off the front of the barrel 1" ish =(. I restored it as much to milspec as I could aside from that. I try to hide the tip because the other Enfield kids will point and laugh at me. Ok cool thanks Marikina Man. I'll give that a shot or two and see.
