Did my annual rust preventive spray down

I have my reloading bench in a workshop inside a 100 year old garage (structure built in 1928).

I will get some moisture in there which causes my exposed dies and bare surfaces to develop a little rust.

An annual spray of thin silicone oil keeps the rust gremlins away.

Anyone else reloading in imperfect situations? Whats your favorite anti-rust lube?

    By volume:
    45% ATF
    45% Kerosene
    10% Anhydrous lanolin
    Tire kickers gonna kick,
    Nose pickers gonna pick
I and others know the real

I use a spray bottle loaded with 80% paint thinner & 20% light engine oil measured with my eyecrometer, for garage/shed tools including a dedicated decapping press. Cheap, keeps cast iron surfaces rust free, and rough use tools from freezing up if they sit longer than expected. I think it makes my tools easier to clean up too but that's just my opinion.

Should note that I used some leftover hydraulic oil once and it killed my spray bottle (guessing it swelled an o-ring or seal), also some heavy gear oils will eat at brass. I've had best results using my wife's 5w-20 engine oil, feel like it leaves a light and even film when the paint thinner evaporates.

My reloading presses live a cushy life indoors, just get the pivot points lubed. I will use carb cleaner on my dies when they need cleaning, leaves a very light film.

Annual? I clean and lube my press every other month.

My press gets oil at least once a month. Case lube does a pretty good job of keeping rust out of the common use dies.

For my unusual dies that get rare use, i use gun oil. Toss them in a ziplock, oiled, and they'll keep until you need them again.

Boeshield T-9 here, every six months or so.
