I have had about 20 presses over the years and by far the most solid feeling has been the good old RCBS Rock chucker supreme. The hard stop feels so solid.

Quite by accident, I discovered that the RCBS Rockchucker Supreme has a horrible deprimed, primer handling system. That part when you're depriming your brass?? The old primers "sometimes" fall into a cup that you still have to manually invert to empty??? Really? I still have my Lee for stand alone depriming due to the superior used primer handling prowess.

If I'm doing them in bulk, the Hornady LnL AP comes out

without getting too crazy into the higher end presses I am a huge fan of the hollow ram on the Redding BigBoss II and its spent primer system... one day it will retire my old pacific and get one.

second choice would be the tried and true Rock Chucker and while it doesn't have the primer drop tube like the Redding it does have a 4" or ram stroke with give a little bit more room when loading some of the longer rifle calibers.

also I don't think that you can go wrong with the Forster or possibly the Hornady Iron but I haven't personally handled either one

Another vote for the RCBS Rockchucker Supreme or Rebel. Solid and precise presses, both have a large hand opening that became my favorite feature for loading rifle rounds. Rebel can handle spent primers well and even larger opening but will need a ram prime die if you want to prime on the press. Was happy with my Supreme, just wanted the Rebel, kept the Supreme in case my kid wants to reload someday.

Lee presses make great ammo, support their products well, and handle spent primers much better. Had several, just like the build and opening on the RCBS presses better. I decap on a dedicated press in the garage to keep that mess outside.

Current RCBS presses aren't made in China. Last year, I spoke to someone who's been with RCBS for many years and he mentioned that RCBS did outsource castings from China for a couple years after ownership changed in the early 2000's. Once profitable again, RCBS was able to source USA made castings from a California manufacturer. No idea how they survive here, but the manufacture happens to be in my town, had to check it out for myself. Steel parts come from Japan due to the quality of their steel from what he said. Both cast iron presses and steel parts are machined and finished at the Oroville facility. This is just for their cast iron presses and dies, didn't ask about their aluminum parts and their electronic stuff is a whole different ballgame.

Redding Big Boss 2 design features will make it easier and faster at accessing the universal shell holder.

For properly inserting primes individually and for capturing spent primers while using a conventional
single stage reloading press, Redding has no equal.

For shooters dedicated to full length resizing magnum cases on regular basis with precision quickly discover
that the functionality of the UltraMag reloading press stands apart and stands alone from its competition.
