Reloading hulls, do you tumble them?

    I've got 3000 Fiocchi hulls.

Do you guys tumble the hulls before de-priming or tumble them at all before reloading?

I've heard some guys run them through a washing machine, but I don't know anyone who tumbles them. When they get really dirty, just leave them lay.

No don't wash your hulls. Water will get in between the brass head and the plastic hull and weaken it. Besides you will only get so many in a tumbler anyway. If you are shooting the hulls and they are very dirty you may need to bump up your charge or use a hotter primer to burn the powder more cleanly. I use Hodgdon Clays for a semi auto and it burns well and very clean. Sit in front of the t.v. with a moist towel and wipe off the excess residue on the hulls. You have to many to waste all the effort. Besides you need more time to make money to pay for the lead shot!!!
