My muzzle loader is a flint lock so the primer is built in. My cap and ball still requires caps and I have about 500 of those, and they don't go fast.

I've been shooting rather consistently, and just got a few thousand primers this week.

I've been hunting rather regularly on-line and through my gun club orders. I've long stopped going through private parties. In fact, the last private parties I did was for $50/1000 for S&B small primers. Back then I thought it was high, can't imagine how excited I'd be now if I found those at that price.

I've also stopped myself lately from acquiring powders. I've hit a limit of what I'm willing to "hoard". I only now buy EXACTLY what I want and have been burning through all my less desirable components and replacing them with better/preferred stock.

I checked my inventory again after my latest order came in and I'm about a few hundred primers "UP" from when I last checked my counts, but my "subtotal" number has shifted from small pistol primers to larger pistol primers.

So It's probably time I start shooting 45ACP a lot more.
