A big thank you to CSACANNONEER and his unnamed buddy who graciously allowed me to use their gear and dies to load my first SoCal range friendly rounds for my Ferret50 while I wait for my .50 specific reloading gear to arrive.

Mixed brass from Mr. Kubota with 220 gr of H50BMG powder, CCI 35 primer and Lehigh solid brass bullets of 645 gr. Shown for scale next to a .223 round.

I can't wait to shoot them at Angeles this weekend! BOOM!

Congratulations! You'll know when you touch one of those things off. A pound of powder is a box and a half of loaded cartridges and I complain about the 70 grains in my 375H&H.

EDIT: I see that there is an even larger 2 bore cartridge (1.32"/34mm diameter) with an 8 ounce projectile, both black powder. Unbelievable!

4 bore= .96

10ga= .775"
So there is a .046" difference which is .023" per gauge.
10ga=.775" + (.023"x 6)= .913"
4ga= .913"= 22.85mm

Take a pound of lead.
Divide it up into the number of the gauge, 12ga is 12 balls, 8 gauge is 8 balls, 2 gauge is two balls.

I don't shoot it, Butch Searcy (Searcy Manufacturing in Boron, CA) made the gun for it for a customer of his. The cartridge cases are hand turned on a lathe and loaded with smokelss powder shooting a 2,000 grain bullet at 2,000fps.
