It should be fine, just make sure you inspect the cases like you would for any other brass. Nickel plated brass doesn’t seem to last as long (less number of reloads) as regular brass, regardless of age and often splits at the mouth. Otherwise, load away!

I usually got a good 6 loadings or more out of mine. As mentioned, splits at the mouth usually ended my use of a case. It's not dangerous even at that point, but the hold from the crimp would be inconsistent.

I have some 45 cases in my last reloads that were from 1954. Time won't effect them.

I load my .38 special cases until I lose them, and I never lose them.

I've got lots of 38 special brass that I've been loading since the '70s and '80s. They likely have been loaded more than 20 times.

The process of plating embrittles the brass and make it prone to splitting. Nickel is also hard and can wear/scratch reloading dies. I load nickel cases last and then only enough to finish a boxful of ammo.
