    New Monolithic (Copper) Bullet

It appears Hornady has retired it's GMX lead-free bullets and replaced them with something they call Copper alloy eXpanding (CX). New for 2022.

This link points to the sum of what I know about them. Nothing written about how they're different from the GMX although they're being offered in different weights than the GMX. For no reason other than it's what I'm used to, I prefer 150 grain bullets for my '06 but the CX are offered in 110, 168, 180 and 190 weights.

Looks just like the Barnes TTSX... hopefully they are more accurate than the Barnes

"more accurate than the Barnes"? Hmm, hadn't had any accuracy issues with Barnes in 25-06, 30-30, 270 Win or 30-06. Dang!

You can get the best accuracy with Barnes IF you follow the 4 basic rules when loading/shooting them. I can get the best accuracy in quite a number of cartridges with Barnes TTSX and LRX bullets. I shoot them in 257R/25-06/257W/6.5X55/264 win mag/6.5X300W/7-08/7mm Rem mag/308win/300win mag/338Fed/338win mag and 50bmg.

You just need to know what you are doing and that is very easy
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Perhaps a softer or less expensive alloy of copper.

According to the list of approved ammo, they have not been approved yet, but then again I'm not sure the stuff is commercially available yet. So far, just promotional stuff.
