    Cheap vs Expensive

    Single vs Progressive

Every time I run this rig I jump on ebay to see if there's a good deal on Mec Grabber or 9000 for sale. Every time I get done I think, man that was $40 well spent a few years ago.

      There's a lot between.

Personally I'm a fan of the Sizemaster for single stage.

Hey, I use Clays in my .38 short colt. 3 grains.

How much goes in a shotgun shell?

If you're shooting slugs, buckshot or hunting loads where a box of shells is good for a day or season, the Lee Load All is great.

If you're a competitive shooter, or a fanatic (I'm the latter) and shoot 8-16 boxes a month, the Load All or 600 Jr is not so fun. I shoot 3/4 ounce loads and can load a box for $3.24. I paid $300 for my Mec 9000GN used and it paid for itself in savings in the first year of ownership

It's so much easier to get one shell per pull on a progressive vs 5-6 pulls per shell.

My suggestion would be to keep loading with what you have and keep looking for that bargain. When you see it, jump on it but don't bow to the temptation of paying north of $600 for a new press unless you hit the lottery.

Are you getting loaded 'fer bear' or what?

And Clays comes on 14oz cans not 1lb.
