Most of the magazines i use for 9mms are 1911 38 Super magazines, and a 9mm loaded to 1.52" won't even fit into those mags. I agree the OP probably meant 1.152, well within specs. But it depends on the bullet profile.

My load for Everglade 9mm 124rn over 4.0gn 231 or HP-38 is seated to 1.125
My rule of thumb for OAL on a new bullet is to make it fit chamber and mag and I like .180” at minimum of bullet driving band gripped by the case to avoid set back from either or both, chambering a round or recoil effect on lower rounds in mag and I like to see my OAL’s around acceptable parameters of published data .
Bullet moulds have an affect on OAL. I have seen 2 bullets from different manufacturers of the same weight and ogive style require different OAL’s to avoid impingement on the lands by one.
My 115gn rn from Blue Bullet is seated to 1.120 with the same powder charge and manufacturers.

Very similar to my range loads, just 5gn and 1.125. Works in everything.
