Dillion 650 how much space over bench

Hi guys how much space is needed to run a case feeder? My bench top to ceiling is right at 45 inches can I mount a case feeder and still fill it?
    Thanks

My 650 is 38.25" to the top of the case feeder. Mine is also about 10 years old and I think there is an additional piece of metal at the top of the feeder now.
45" is going to be tight when you have to reach up and dump cases in or change a case feed plate.

I just checked mine and it's just under 34" from the bench to the top of the case feeder. This is a newer XL 650 bought new within the last six months. This is WITHOUT the strong mount option - not sure what you have.

I have a newer XL 650 with strong mount and the measurement is 41". Yours will fit but you won't have much room to load brass into the hopper.

The newest generation xl650 with the shorter case feed setup is only 34.5" high mounted directly to a bench, but if you have the older 2nd gen press, then the case feed rod and buckret sits 4 inches higher.

The newer one is better because various small updates make it run smoother, but also, if you aren't taller than 6 feet and/or have a low-riding workbench, it is hard to look inside the older model because the hopper is so dang high.

I do not know generation but press is years old cost was ? $379 or something like that when i got it.

sounds like i will have about 10 inches but looking at it i will have to stand on stool or something to fill and will not be able to look down on it to change shell plate, I do not have strong mount press is a perfecty hight as is.
Guess I will pass on case feeder for now. tho is it easy to take case feeder off of the press to change shell plates?

Bye the way I sold off the old Pro 1000 I had the difference from the 1000 to the XL 650 dillion is like a mercedes
            to a pinto

            thanks

Yes, the case feed comes off readily. Shellplates change easy. Case feeder is a great accessory!
