    Upgrading

I hope I don't get the itch for a Girard trimmer, AMP annealer/press, that $800 powder scale... I don't have the money for that ....

For my first 2 decades of reloading I've always done most of it by hand. But this Lyman case prep center just makes sense. You can just get a WCT on ebay and prep the rest with this. $160, you decide...

This all started when I couldn't find a good solution to trim that big thick beatch of a case. Now all my other case prep should be easier.

It would be awesome if those case trimmer options such as the WFT/WCT/ Possum Hollow could fit on those prep centers.

The prep center RPM is very low and low torque. To get a good, almost no burr trim you have to spin at max drilll speed. You get what you pay for I guess. The other way is to get a Gerard so no chamfer and deburr, and just set up a brush and primer pocket, on 2 cheap drills.

I got the WCT on ebay just to test and they work but stock it needs to be deburred. If you upgrade and find a quality end mill, they will cut just as good as a WFT and spin it fast, no need to dechamfer or deburr.

I doubt that. An end mill is designed to cut flat, which would leave a sharp 90 degree angle at the inside and outside edges of the case mouth. The inside of the case mouth should not be a 90 degree angle, but rather should have a bit of an outward taper as you come up to the case mouth to prevent shaving lead/jackets.

The outside of the case mouth only needs to not have an extended ridge of material, so a clean cutting trimmer will suffice there.
