Neck sizing for different gun, same model?

I have a Bergara B14 in 6.5CM. Buddy of mine has a Bergara B14 in 6.5CM. I was planning on loading up some rounds for his birthday. Do I need to full-length size the cases or can I assume that chamber dimensions will be close enough that I can just neck size?

That's easy. Neck size some fired in one rifle then see if they drop easily into the other rifle.

No. F/L size the cases for his rifle. It will prevent him from having to beat his bolt handle open with a 2X4.

And then he will surely be able to use them on his BD instead of screwing around with goofy ammo that doesn't load and saves you that embarrassment.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

Each rifle and chamber are different. Some are close enough to interchange necked brass but its pretty rare ime.

The single most accuracy increasing step, that an average reloader, with an off the shelf sloppy chambered rifle can do.

IS NECK SIZE CASES FIREFORMED TO HIS SPECIFIC RIFLES CHAMBER.

I thought it was seating depth to the lands. Everything else is incremental in addition to... Neck tension, annealing, trim, powder accuracy under .1 grain, concentricity, volume consistency,

I've always said, "ALL THINGS ARE VARIABLE, ALL VARIABLES MATTER"

When a case is PROPERLY FIREFORMED to a given chamber, then neck sized. That mitigates the FIRST variable. And is the foundation upon which you begin to build your "secondary incremental variance eliminations".

Go one step farther back along the LINE. If the bolt fits the receiver loosely in lockup. What will that do to accuracy potential? ANSWER, "same as a loose case during lockup".

I LIKE a snug bolt. I guess the guy in the vid never heard of "OIL". Galled Lugs indeed.

If WE were ALL Benchrest Competition shooters using the equipment I already mentioned attributed to that class of shooters. I would agree.

OTC rifle, OTC dies, OTC bullets. Just an average enthusiast or hunter, looking to do what he can to improve accuracy with what he has at hand. Excluding Semis of course, which NEED case clearance for functionality.
