I see primers easing up too

In the last month I picked up 3,000 primers
1 box of small pistol - CCI
1 box of large pistol - Federal
1 box of large rifle - Federal

I got the Federals at $55+tax (local shooting club FFL)
I got the CCI at 75+HAZMAT via Brownells.

So all in, sub $100/K

I think I'm going to stop for now until prices come down to sub $60 without quantity limits.

I've just been reloading and shooting my "junk" primers and replacing them with better quality as they become available.

Ya been lucky over the past few weeks. Picked up 2k LRP (rape prices), 2k SPP, 2K 41s and 2k SPMs. Happy to get the SPP as I have 2kish 9mm that I was waiting for them to get in stock. Now I have plenty of primers to tide me over till stock and prices come back some more.

Just my $0.02, keep up stacking it deep for a few months until we see how things play out with expiration of eviction and foreclosure moratoriums and more data on “delta variant” case fatality rate is available

I don’t know your usage patterns but 3k primers is like 3-4 practice sessions and a match for some of my irl friends

I put up a "Wish list", "notify me when in stock" at Midway for my small rifle primers... Plinking for me, so I'm not worried about mixing primer manufacturers.


A few weeks ago, got the notification for CCI #41 - 1000. it was several hours old. Clicked on it ordered it and got them. I was surprised, but it's randomly available it seems.

Check midway usa and brownells during the week. They have been getting stock every week for the past 3 weeks. I've got 5k spp and srp over the past few weeks just by checking randomly at 7am and around 1pm.

At first, I had a "Notify me..." for each primer, each manufacturer. Deleted the last a few weeks back when I got the small rifle primers I wrote about. I just deleted all of my powder "Notify..." as I found a reasonable powder on Hodgdon's website last night.


Wife's ticked at me for that one. I may live to see tomorrow morning.


I haven't heard anything from all the other sites. Natchez, midsouth, scheels, cabela's/Bass pro, graf's (had some bullets, nothing else)... I was scrubbing the web for supplies for a few months.

Picked up primers too, randomly, and at around 70-90$ per 1k. Expensive, but not gunbroker highway robbery prices. Powder Valley had a post about this a few weeks ago, that primers were easing up, powder however is going to be a continuing issue, so they say.
