With AIM Surplus and J&G Sales you can take advantage of UPS's "hundredweight" discounts. UPS gives the shipper a price break when a single shipment (multiple boxes) weighs over 200 pounds and all of the boxes are going to the same address.

Back when AIM still shipped to San Francisco I would always order at least 3 cases of ammo at a time, since it cost the same to ship 3 cases ($60) as it did to ship 2 cases. With 7.62x39 you might need to order 4 cases to reach the 200 pound threshold though.

ive read some pistol ammo is reloadable, or at least used to be, the boxer primes ones, but it seems they have switched to berdan primed for most of it.

It's actually staying in stock for more than a few hours. Maybe the panic is finally starting to die down?

Once a shortage starts to show even the smallest sign of ending, everybody stops buying, because they don't want to buy today what might be a little bit cheaper next week. This causes inventory to build up and prices to go down, causing people to buy even less, because they think the price will be lower next week. It turns into a downward negative spiral, just like with the housing market.

That's how I feel about it, I refuse to buy any unless it gets under $200 a case again.

No, not everyone. Those that are hoarding will probably stop buying. Those that go shooting will just be glad to have ammo available and will continue to buy.

A buddy of mine won't shoot wolf in his AR, says it's hard on the chamber. Anyone seen more wear on their actions with wolf? I ask because I'm building my first AR and wolf seems to be cheapest ammo I can find but I don't want to beat up a new toy right away.
I don't like it here anymore, but my wife won't move out of state
