Primer prices seem to be dropping....

Maybe all the folks that got caught with their pants down have found what they needed?

I was at the local gun show this weekend, and saw plenty of primers priced at $100/1000. Still high, but way off the $150-$250/1000 prices of a month ago. One guy even had 7 100 count trays of Federal Benchrest LR primers at $5 each. I didn't need them so I pointed them out to my buddy that did, and he scooped them up.

Gun show ammo still seems stupid expensive, but the local stores are starting to get inventory. I stopped at D&B in the mid-afternoon and picked up 4 boxes of CCI .22WMR for $14.99/box. The best gun show price I saw was $25/100.

Seems coincidental. My local shop sells Winchester for $19\100 and Fiocchi for $29\100...woooof.

He also said many vendors sold every round on the table in popular calibers.

Just visited a local gun store today. They have a pretty good stock of ammo in the popular calibers, limit two per box. Likewise, I visited a gun show this weekend and there was plenty of 22, 9 mm, and .223 available albeit at inflated prices

Yeah, I just got a whole bunch of bullets for reloading from Midsouth. Still out of .264 and .338, but decent selection of .308 and .223. I still have plenty of primers after selling about 12k and an 8lb jug of H4350.

Local (NorCal) vendor got in a shipment of Winchester small pistol primers. The manager, a friend, told me the price to him is the same as his pre shortage retail price for the same item. Limits on amount and frequency of each purchase in place, actually, tightened up considerably.

How much was Federal Large Pistol Match before? I just turned down my spot to pick up 1k for $50. I haven't paid over $40 for any primers in the last year and a half.

50 dollars for a thousand is a steal right now. At my local Turners they have 1000 for $100 which, relatively speaking, is not a bad deal.

OC gun show had multiple vendors with primers at $250 for a thousand. Lots of primers available at that price, no one that I could see was buying or even inquiring about them.

Due to moving and still working part timeat my old job i didnt get to shoot as much as i normally do.Still have a few priners to load plenty of rounds so no hurry for me.Been through shortages before and made it by this will end too,
