    Hornady 62gr FMJ

Checking to see if anyone has experience with these .223 bullets with the AR platform?

Brownells has them for $500.99 for 5500 and you can use $40 off coupon "VST" on $450 purchase.

They are not match bullets. But they shoot good enough for me.
I bought one of those bulk pack two years ago. Still have more than half left.
You can shoot clover leaf groups if you get the right loax.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

If the 62 grain bullets shoot like Hornady's 55 grain bullets, they're a steal at 9 cents apiece.

If your shooting at steel. You can hear the difference between 55g and 62g.

For target rounds they go bang just find and group well if you have time to build a ladder.

Not match bullets but your not missing at 300 yards.

People seem to shrug off the cheap bulk Hornady bullets. My AR shot their 55gr SP's better than sierra smk's, maybe a coincidence or load issue, but the Hornady bullets have always just plain worked for me.

As far as bulk plinkers go, I think they're the best by a decent margin.

In the current market buy what you can. But those shoot great if you have the skills involved.

I would work a load with H322 and CFE223 at the same time. Varget i save for 308.
But CFE 223 is my least favorite.

I'll keep this one in mind if they other loads don't work out.
