    Ammo arrived- 5 MONTHS LATER

OK, I click baited the title a little. Almost 5 months later, to be honest.

My 1000 projectiles of 9mm RMR 124 GR jacked hollow points finally arrived that I ordered on 1-14-21.
I completely forgot about the order and thought Christmas came early.

I also have some Weatherby 338-378 on order from Weatherby. I wonder if it will take more then 5 months for that to arrive.

Can anyone beat the 5 months with a longer wait time for your Ammo to arrive?

Small company. Got a Cassul and wanted to shoot one projectile for that and 45C . There's a guy in the East Coast that makes clear coated cast that can withstand the pressure. I have a feeling that making 9mm or others are more profitable. Waiting 6+ months now.

Before that, it took 4 months for Bayou Bullets to get my 2k 9mm and 1k 38/357 order.

Placed an order at Optics Planet (not knowing then what a bunch of morons they are) back in December. Since then the cost of what I ordered has doubled but they continue to change the "expected" date it's now into June they say.

Sent an email letting them know that I understand they just want me to cancel since the cost has gone up so dramatically but I will not, no response from the email. Typical.

Jacked Hollow Points sound like toxic masculinity at 1100fps lol. Kind of shocked the Weatherby would take so long though being they usually sell in very small quantities and have a generally lower demand.

My normal go-to shop for cast 32WC has (well, had) a splash screen on their site saying orders taken now are expected to ship in 10-12 months. I found an alternate source.

124gr HP's are the slowest inventory to ship, they make you agree to a waiver before you buy.

Looks like xtreme is still shipping quickly. Just way more expensive.

I ordered 2k of the same 124gr JHP's from RMR back in September and it took 4-5 months to receive.

I ordered from bayou in December and it showed up in days, despite a warning it'll take longer. Ordered again, and got the 12 week notice. I think it's actually going to take that time now.

                    Components are NOT ammo.

Did they collect payment at the time of the order?
If so, that's basically a contract to provide you the product at the price that they charged you.

If they did NOT take payment at the time of the order, they are not bound to provide the product at the old price.
It is the collecting of payment that sets the price of a sale.

An unfunded backorder is simply a place on the waiting list for when product becomes available.
