Johnn'y reloading bench has a 223 Starline brass case capacity notification about his Starline brass has a bit less case capacity than his other brass.

This was in 2017. @4:55 he shows the powder capacity. Just be aware of it if you're going to shoot a near max load on the first firing.

does not seem expensive and it is good brass
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Expensive at 23 to 27 cents a piece?

Lapua runs 2-3X that. Norma about 1.5X.

Starline makes really good brass for the price. Much better than most of the big name ammo manufacturers who sell virgin brass on the side.

Last time I bought 223, I think I paid $40 for a huge bag of all LC. Maybe 600 cases.

Its 223. Its laying on the ground all over the place, just go scoop it up for free.

Same with .338LM Starline brass in comparison with Lapua brass, the Starline brass appears to be softer and thicker.

I use Starline pretty much exclusively in pistol cases. Fantastic stuff. I think if LC didn't exist, I'd use Starline for 223 and 308 as well. But...it does, so I don't.

This. I need to get out from under my rock. I love me starline brass and making magnum rifle brass is news to me. Very welcome news!

If I knew this was coming I'd have bought my mausingfield with a 585 bolt instead of a 540!

I just got a shipment notification for 30-30 brass that was backordered in November.

It was some ago and my memory may have failed me, it could have been Norma instead. I don't see Starline currently offering .338LM, so there is a good chance I was wrong, but I disposed of the brass long ago so unable to check.

Lapua is excellent and is what I am currently using, the other stuff (Norma?) was not anywhere as good.
