    .410 reloading question

Will 0000 buckshot (.36 diameter) shot fit in a .410 shell? I ask because I want to do some home defense rounds for my sister.

If it is truly .36 dia, It should as .410 is a diameter as opposed to a gauge like 20ga. and I don't see the walls being .04 thick. If you have an empty hull measure the wall thickness. Hornady sells defensive loaded with 000 buck listed as .36 diameter

Thanks, and I was wrong 0000 is .380 diameter, but I feel it would still fit.

        Google helps:

I stumbled across a big old jar --about ten pounds-- of 0000 buckshot (.375") in the basement. I know that it is just plain the wrong size to use in a 12 gauge. I guess it stacks well in a 10 gauge hull but I don't have a 10 ga. and have no plans to get one. :-) They do seem like they would...
