    FN 5.7 reloading

I have a bunch of brass for the FN 5.7. Does anyone reload for that? I heard it was dangerous to load for some reason. Just curious if anyone has any info cause I would like to sell it.

    Thanks in advance,

Only dangerous because the pressure tolerances are tighter. You can reload for it but you might need to weigh each charge to make sure you get exactly the measurement you want. Dont trust a thrower.

Also with mine the shoulder on the brass is moved about 1/8" forward thus the need to really work the brass and shorter life
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

5.7 is a touchy round to reload. The brass is minuscule and it is easy to crush the neck. And as stated, the charge range is extremely small from minimum to maximum, so extreme care needs to be used when weighing powder loads.

Also, the brass is coated and one needs to be careful not to remove the lacquer else they won’t likely cycle properly.

I’ve seen quite a few lots of brass available since I got mine, and bought a bunch of once-fired a couple of years ago. I’m sure you can find a buyer, depending on the quantity, condition and pricing.

I haven't had any issues reloading mine.

Be careful not to wash off the coating, and don't chase max loads.

I load so all the guns will cycle, and get hardly any extra shoulder setback.

I have 10 test cases that are on their 6th or 7th firing.
