    Accurate 2230 & 2460

    Hey folks,

I know both can be used for .223 and .308, but my thinking is that 2230 for 55 and 62 gr .223 and the 2460 for the 150gr .308 because it's a slightly slower burning powder.

Just looking for some expierenced opinions on the above scenario. I have used Win 748 for both as my go to powder so using a new powder has its challenges.

2230 is probably the most underrated powder for the .223 cartridge.

Took out my ladder loads today and man this is some good ****. I loaded 22gr, 22.5 and 23gr and all one inch groups at 30yds with avg of 2600 to 2750 fps. The 2230 and 62gr Pill went good together. Also tested 55gr spire point pills ending at 24gr and same result.

The 2460 for the .308 avg of 2700ish fps and not so good groups at 100yds vot I think my brass is inconsistent with pressure and brass length. Able to fit it in a 4 inch target, not good. Will need to do more testing.

          Thirty yards? That's a 3 MOA group.
