What are you willing to pay for ammo?

I realize it's a seller's market just like housing in CA. So, how much is someone willing to pay or not pay? Share......

I am not willing to pay $35/box of 50 9mm

Whatever I can afford. Affording means money in my bank I am ok parting with. I paid 500 for 500rds 308s.

I won't pay anything for ammo unless it's long rifle on the cheap cause I reload 22 calibers.

I'll buy something if for some reason I am completely out which likely won't happen since my range trips lately are zero. But yeah not giving up what they are asking lately.

I pre-ordered some 5.7 ammo for 84.00 and change for two boxes of 50. Then checked the same site and the price had gone up to that per 50. Not playing that game.

Picking up a DE in .50, don't have reloading stuff yet. Paid the seller $2 a round for the rest of his inventory. Reload everything else and only have paid pre-pandemic prices on everything. Worst rip off so far was .10 cents per round for 500pcs on 22lr cause I had zero. Never again.

I don't need to buy anything, the gougers can kiss it.

I'm willing to pay $6 per box for shotgun shells and .16 per round for 9mm bullets.

Right now I pay $6 per box for shotgun target shells. That's what it costs me to walk to my garage and pull the handle on my reloader. (actually a little less) I have enough to keep me shooting for the rest of the year.

I will not shoot my 9mm although I want to. The replacement cost for 9mm ammo is so high that it has forced me to keep it locked away.

Screw the gougers. That includes the LA ammo store that advertises 9mm ammo on their website that says "sold out", but you walk into their store and they have that ammo at twice the price of what they say is sold out on the website. Also includes the OC gun store trying to sell some old shotgun shells for $35 a box.

The only ammunition I have to buy is rimfire because I reload everything else (all of three calibers).

For .22lr, 5 cents a round, which is about what the retail price was pre-pandemic. For lead-free .17HMR, 25-28 cents per round, which is also about what the retail price was pre-pandemic.

I mostly shoot bolt rifles so a little ammunition can go a long way.

60 cents per round for any ammo type unless it's pre retard price was higher. Like Buffalo Bore for instance. I'll pay more for those, but for someone's wadcutter reloads? A case used to be available for like 38 cents a round.

I couldn’t see paying much over the already high retail prices pre panic. People have gone crazy IMO.

So, it seems obvious that ammunition factories are not charging more wholesale because my friend in OR bought some 9mm at retail but had a 2 box limit. The retail for Blazer Brass was 12.99/box. My point is this; I understand where some person has a stash and wants to sell off some of it for a profit, however small or large, but if stores are getting their supply at the same or close to the same price, they are just adjusting for the time and moment and also for the inconsistent deliveries of inventory. I understand limits because that's a necessity when everyone wants something. I figure the people that can afford it and choose to spend the $ on higher priced ammo can do it but the average American will not spend $200 on ammo when $200 on groceries for the family is priority. That being said, I spent 12.00/box of 20 for 5.56 before OBAMA and I traded 22LR mini mag for 12 ga target. I am embarrassed but I admit my fault.

I don't buy ammo, I reload. But, I do buy .22. My price point is set at 4 - 5 cents a round. But, I can afford to wait..... I don't need any.

No worries because nobody is selling that cheap.

Many retail ammo prices have gone up, assuming the retailers aren't lying. High quality rifle ammo that used to go for $23 a box, discounted from a $29.95 msrp are now going for $30 or $35 a box discounted from $39.99 msrp.
