Dillon Super Swage Adapter for 9mm?

Dillon lists a optional Swager Adapter for 9MM but also state it's not really necessary. I don't have a ton of crimped 9mm but would like to swage what good quality crimped WCC/WMA etc. brass I pick up with my new to me Super Swage 600. Will I be fine without the optional adapter?

Thanks - you're not using the $17 Dillon adapter, correct?

First batch swaged was with what I thought was crimped ( Some nato marked brass seats primers with no problem). The second batch was with the problematic brass listed in the first post. These actually gave me a hard time seating new primers. Quick swage, no primer problems. Like I said, some people just toss the brass and don't bother. With people complaining about not being able to get enough brass, I don't throw away the few hundred I end up with in a bucket of collected brass. I don't have 5 gallon buckets over flowing with brass, I need to use what I have.
So, what exactly does the adapter do to make it worth the $28 shipped price vs swaging 9mm without it?

        I don't have the adapter.

The 9 case is a little sloppy on the rod. If you lower the rod and case down and then slowly run the swage head into the primer pocket until it just starts, then align the rod and then swage. It's a little slow, but can be done.

If I had a bunch to do I would wrap some e tap around the rod to take up some slack so 9s would set better and go to town.

My Dillon swager came with a small primer and large primer swaging rod. 9mm is small primer and the small primer swager works well.

So why is there a 9mm primer pocket swager?

Based on Caveman's description above, it sounds like the adapter takes out the slop and reduces fumbling with the casings thereby speeding up the swaging process?

I just leave it setup of .223/5.56, and just hold it.

It is pretty rare for me to get swagged 9mm brass pickups, but it indeed does happen on occasion.

I don't have the adapter, but that makes sense.
It would just make it easier to use.

You could do a ghetto version by wrapping masking tape around the support rod until the cases fit with less slop.

What are the issues with Blazer? I have a lot of it but haven't started reloading yet. What I've read on it seems to indicate that it's perfectly fine to reload.
