    Varget Powder $100/lb ?

Apparently there is a ton of active bidders on any given gunbroker ad for Varget commanding $90-100 per pound. yeah thats right $800 for a 8lb jug. I recently sold one for $350 and was even still getting pm's. I wish I could jump through the hoops of getting licensed to ship hazmat materials so i could put up my stuff on the broker lol

Anyway, I see this powder/primer drought continuing for another year or two. I'm tempted to sell my last two jugs but a part of me is hesitant because of how long it would take to replace my stash. Would you guys take a $400 offer for your 8lb jug?

There's a price for everything right? I'm sure if it was my last jug and someone gave me a cool K, I'd just switch hobbies or powder for a while. It's like that prostitute joke, now we're just hagling over price....

That's exactly my case right now, wayyyy to busy to ever shoot this much. I've slowly been letting go my personal stash and buying stocks with it. Maybe in two years I'll be able to buy back in when things go back down. Had a fellow calgunner remind me yesterday. Prices will never go back down to how they were, they will settle just above what we used to pay. When things do 'settle' we might be looking at a 25 cent norm for 9mm

Look it up, 16+ bids on 1lb bottle for $90 yesterday with time left. Some guy in our marketplace just sold 16lbs for $50/lb. Like he was selling hotcakes. Hell I bet $60/lb will be standard in a month or two.

Primers are now going for 150-200 a box

I don't think that I've ever seen things this bad. 22lr at .30+ a round on GB?

Phillips had some Varget a few months ago for $34.00. Right time right place.

It's coming to the point where we all need to help each other out. Powder for primers or primers for powder.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I wouldn't and I won't unless circumstances require me to get rid of everything. There's a huge pent-up demand which means the shelves will be cleaned out as soon as they're stocked for some time to come and I've got better things to do with my time, like shooting.

I thought I was being greedy planning to ask for $50/lb........
So, I’ll wait a few more months until it gets to $200/lb?

Trading is already happening, but it's far and few in between. Most people don't buy stuff they don't need. I might have an LB of something I tried but didn't like. But some people are buying stuff just to trade although I haven't seen it for myself.

Went to a store that I know overcharges, one exit to a store that doesn't. They had Aguila 40g .22lr for .27/round and $2/rd for 150g 308 today. I got the same Aguila for .10 yesterday. Didn't feel good, but got some.

Only thing I might overpay for is primers. Just stocked up on .223 and .308 powder from grafs this morning at $28 per lb x 20. Just have to be diligent and check a few times a day. Accurate 2460 and 2230, because Win 748 has yet to be in stock anywhere I have checked. It's a race to check reloading book to make sure the powder is for the correct recipie.

I need primers, mainly SPP. I have been wishing that CCI would take preorders and ship out directly. I'd wait 6 months if that meant I had a spot in line. But they could give two ****s about the reloading community, but whatever.

Same I felt greedy when I sold a varget jug for 350 this week. Had no clue it was commanding 800+.

Just 2yrs ago I was selling the same jugs for 190-200 because that's what the market asked for.

I walked into a local gun store the other day and I saw they had a handful of 1 lb bottles of Win 296 that were still there from the same lot that I purchased one from a couple months ago for about $32.00. I figured I'd grab another pound since I was there and the guy behind the counter said in a softer voice "those are $99.99". Needless to say I shook my head and walked out.
